How long is the guarantee on spares?
We guarantee spares against defects in material or workmanship for a period of six months from the date of invoice.
Are there any conditions to your guarantee?
All returned spares are checked by our technical department. We are unable to provide an exchange for items that
are found to have been damaged during handling/fitting, nor will we exchange items that have been damaged by external
faults or components.
Will you still guarantee a spare if I fit it myself?
For continued appliance safety we recommend that spares should be fitted by a qualified appliance engineer.
We do recognise that many spares are purchased for home repair and these are still covered by our six month guarantee
as long as they have been fitted in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
Regrettably many associated faults that should be checked and corrected as a matter of routine maintenance can
be missed by the novice repairer. Such faults can often cause damage to, or reduce the life-span of the part fitted.
In such cases the damaged item will not be replaced.
How do I return a part for testing / replacement or repair?
Please pack the goods securely to prevent transit damage. Include a copy of the receipt and a written description
of the fault(s). If returning goods by standard mail you should obtain and retain a certificate of posting. Please
print our address clearly on the outside of the packaging.

Who pays for the return postage?
The customer is responsible for the cost of returning items to us. We recommend that returned items should be insured
against loss or damage. We can not accept responsibility for items that are lost or damaged in transit.
If an exchange is authorised we will bear the cost of delivering the replacement to the customer. Delivery will
be by standard post and a signature will be required on receipt.
Where an exchange is not authorised, or the returned item is found not to be faulty, the item will only be returned
to the customer upon payment of £5.99 to cover the cost of packaging and insured delivery.
How long does the testing process take?
This depends on the current workload but testing is usually completed within three business days.
Do many parts fail under guarantee?
It is rare for a part to fail within the guarantee period. The returns
rate is less than 1%.
Why was I charged a testing fee?
On returned items we can charge a testing fee of up to £10.00 for the following reasons -
1) If the item is tested and found not to be faulty.
2) If the item has been damaged by incorrect or incomplete fitting.
3) If the item has been damaged by external faults or components.
What percentage of returned items actually prove to be faulty?
About one third of returned items tested are faulty.
The remaining two thirds fall into several categories, the most common are :-
1) Electrical items with heat damage from poor crimp connections.
2) Items that have been damaged from incorrect/incomplete fitting.
3) Items that are in working order (Usually an incorrect fault diagnosis).
4) Dryer cut-outs that have been tested before the dryer is fully assembled (Poor airflow with the back panel removed
destroys the new cut-out).
5) Universal refrigeration thermostats where the customer has cut off the capillary tube to make it the same length
as the OEM part.

How long does it take to send a replacement?
Once the fault has been confirmed we will despatch a replacement as soon as stock is available.
What happens if the item is out of stock?
It will be placed on special order and will be despatched as soon as stock becomes available. If we are unable
to despatch a replacement within 28 days of authorisation we can optionally refund the original purchase price.
In this case, ownership of the returned item passes to us once the payment is made.
